The menu is a celebration of hearty and mouthwatering offerings, but the Empanada Taco stole my heart. Picture a warm empanada stuffed with crispy fried cheese, sweet maduros, fresh lettuce, and generously drizzled with chin chin and pink sauces – a dish that bridges comfort with creativity. Priced at just $6.32, it’s a steal for the culinary adventure it promises. “ This truck was stationed at Croton Point Park. I purchased an empanada taco (pernil - shredded pork) from them. It was delicious. It was worth waiting on line for half an hour. ”
“ Parking is not easy so plan on bringing someone with you to run in. My son brought home a box of empanada tacos well it was love at first bite. My favorite is the pork taco and it's been my go to. The food is made to order and is not a fast food establishment so be patience if you walk in and order. I order call in my order and it's ready when I get there. You can also dine in. Friendly staff & tasty food is a win win for me. Also very reasonable too. ”
“ Hello Fellow Yelpers! The El Patio Truck now has a brick and mortar spot. The food is still yummy. The ambiance in the restaurant is beautiful. Here's the address: 159 Gramatan Ave, Mt Vernon, NY 10550 The service was prompt and polite, I ordered ahead and everything was correct, I was grateful for that lol. I strongly recommend el patio because the food is delicious and totally worth the calories. ”
“ Food taste great, a few varieties of Dominican Foods. Good price, ambiance is cool, but service could use some improvements. I would love to come back when I'm not with more than 50+ ppl. Definitely would recommend come come and taste the great food. ”
“ Love and enjoy the food here it's a must try second time going this time was not the truck spot was the restaurant they do delicious ”
“ Everything in my previous review still stands, but I'm super excited to discover that El Patio Truck has upgraded to an actual storefront location on Gramatan Avenue, just a block from the alleyway their original truck was parked. They're currently in a soft opening phase, only doing takeout, but they've got a great big dining room and bar in their new spot, and I can't wait to see how it turns out. Everybody here is so nice, and the food had quickly become my favorite "fast food" meal in Mount Vernon... so I really wish them the best! ”
“ I found this place via social media, so their marketing strategies are working to engage their customers. I decided to drive and order take out. The menu is simple which minimizes feeling overwhelmed when deciding what to order. The location is easy to find, however, parking is not. I recommend taking time to search for parking if you drive. Spicy Chicken Empanada Taco - I could taste every ingredient and I'm sad I didn't order another one. Chicharron De Pollo and Tostones - very good flavor! El Patio Passion Fruit Juice - so fresh and delicious OMG We didn't feel overly full and the food sat well in our stomachs which means their products are fresh! I recommend this business to everyone! ”
“ I ordered from this restaurant 3 times just to make sure I could create a comprehensive review. I ordered the same thing all three times which was the chicharron de pollo, empanada taco and the passion fruit juice. The fried chicken was very flavorful along with the moro (rice). The empanada taco was a hit or miss for me depending on when I ordered. The passion fruit juice was delicious but It was very concentrated. You will definitely need to cut it with water or seltzer. I will state that they do have a place for you to eat your meal there which I would recommended simply because the vessel that you order the chicken does not have anywhere to vent the steam which depending on you distance from the shop will leave to a less then crunchy chicken. I would recommend trying to find different takeout containers for your chicken. The empanada depending on when ordered the meat can be a bit dry and taste as if the empanadas were made and then frozen. I will say however that the first time time I had the empanada from this location was utterly perfect. The two other times after that were not so good. The passion fruit juice is delicious however some may water to cut it as I stated earlier. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone who was looking for good food to dine in. Please rectify your delivery containers. ”
